verushka70There may be an end to the madness of Daylight Saving time in the near future. Finally this archaic practice may be banned federally:

I hope individual states don't fight it. Like fucking Illinois. But I think (hope) Pritzker will be OK with it. It must end!
Unrelated: For Reasons That Don't Need Exploring At This Juncture, I really needed some cheering up today. I have a few go-tos for that (such as Eddie Izzard: Dressed To Kill -- "'Wot? Fuck off,' he seemed to say"; also Eurythmics' Right By Your Side).
But one of my favorite go-tos when I really need cheering up is Caravan Palace's song Lone Digger. I dare you to listen and not be cheered up. Yay, multiple versions: NSFW and sfw!

Only just learned today (from a vid comment) that a "lone digger" is the one person in a given place who's into the music when no one else is paying attention to it; they're alone in digging the music. Lone digger.
Also, those alligators right at the edge of the stripper's stage, in the NSFW vid? Just got that, too. The alligators are the only ones who are actually there for, and are into, the stripper. Alligators haven't changed for ~37 million years. Unevolved. Heh. Yeah.
Well, those ancient parts of the brain are still there in all of us... Just covered over with a ridiculously easily injured cortex that's constantly getting short-circuited by all the ancient animal stuff in its gooey center.
*Been years since I played regularly. Took lessons as a kid, though. Last pre-COVID Christmas at my sister's, I picked up some Christmas carol sheet music and learned a couple pretty quickly. I have no idea which because aging and ADD are so much fun. I can text someone to find out... if they remember, anyway. (They're aging, too...)

Hmmm. I don't know if you'd like retro-funk type music, but if you do I recommend Crowd Company. If I feel the need for something that will put me in a good mood, they're definitely on that list!
