RIP Nikita

My oldest cat died. She was 18. She hadn't been eating and slept most of the time the last couple weeks; even her favorite, canned tuna, was of no interest - even when I put it right in front of her, so she didn't even have to climb down from the bed and walk to it. Tonight I came home from the family dinner around 10pm to find her laying in the litterbox, either having fallen asleep in there or passed out or too weak to get out of it, poor baby. I picked her up and brushed her off and held her until she died.
