That's a good point about local ACLU office, I will definitely mention that to her. My younger sister the Madison WI public HS teacher mentioned sometimes instead of switching schools they can switch programs (to one geared more towards behavioral issues, which to me seems like a black mark against him, but is better than expulsion for his transcripts), so I will mention that as well.
