You are killing me with these linked pics. I actually dig Chris Pine because I was a little girl watching Star Trek reruns in the early 70s, finding Captain Kirk peculiarly attractive (and Spock even more so, 'course). So when Chris Pine came along in the reboot, I was like, omg, *where* did they find William Shatner's bastard son? because he really looks a lot like him. (Not *quite* as hammy an actor, tho, lol!) And Zachary Quinto is SO Spock. I was afraid JJ Abrams would fuck it up but it was about as perfect as one could expect what with Karl Urban, Zoe Saldana, Simon Pegg, Anton Yelchin and John Cho. The casting people did a great job. Wasn't as thrilled with Into Darkness and kind of thought Benedict Cumberbatch was a bit miscast, but you can't have everything.

ST was my first slashy show though I didn't quite realize it as a kid, I just knew I *liked* it (especially what I later identified as the slashy elements). I blame my older sibs. They were always watching wacky stuff like Star Trek (and The Twilight Zone and Monty Python's Flying Circus). I was the second to the last kid, forced to watch what they wanted to watch 'cause I never got to choose if they were around. But yay scifi and British comedy and early slash exposure! Sure, Star Trek reruns now seem so cheesy, but it's been a strangely successful ongoing juggernaut with many permutations for decades now... All started by 3 little seasons of a low-budget scifi show. Kind of amazing.)

Anyhoo... Chris Pine is indeed hotter with a beard. (I do not love him so much that I'll just go see him in *anything*, though -- like the Jack Ryan movies? I skipped 'em all. I'm just tired of such franchises in general... hell, I was tired of them before they cast Pine. I'll confess I was tempted to see that flick with Pine and Reese Witherspoon, but ONLY because Tom Hardy was in it to. I've loved him since Guy Ritchie's RocknRolla, and with Pine and Hardy I figured there might be slash. But you know what? I still haven't seen it.

But JFC... those truck stop hooker pics of Chris Evans are to DIE for. Now I'm all swoony-drool because I've never seen them before. What an unbelievably hot hustler hottie he is. GodDAMN. It's so awesome that the Internet can preserve that which can not be scrubbed so long as it was already collected and is repeatedly reblogged, heh! I may learn to use Tumblr yet if this is a sample of what's to be found there...!
