Date: 2015-09-30 01:56 am (UTC)Now if only TPTB would allow the shaved/waxed hairless TW men and boys to either grow or show their chest hair.
Hmm, I think the whole hairless thing is a style that most guys (in the media) rarely (if ever) step away from. Take for example Chris Evans. He's not super hairy, but the guy deffo has body hair in many films (and, lucky for those of us who like looking at him, he's worn very little clothing in some of them). However, once he appeared as Steve Rogers, his chest looks so smooth that it's on the verge of ridiculous. The most obvious case is right after he transforms from pre-serum Steve Rogers into the beefcake-y post-serum Steve Rogers. There are all these shots of Steve's glistening and bare torso. The viewer wants to reach out and squeeze his pecs of slide a hand over his abs.
The lack of hair on Chris Evans' body (except for his head) is such a strong image that a lot of fans can't help but swoon when he grows a beard (like he usually does in between MCU movies).
Of course, there are guys who can't seem to grow much body hair like, say, Paul Gross and Gerard Way.
