Happy Birthday (posthumously), Leslie Nielsen!

Today (Feb. 11) is Leslie Nielsen's birthday. Among his many dramatic and comedic film and TV roles, he played Sgt. Frobisher in multiple due South episodes. Sadly, he passed away in 2010.

Yes! And he was very handsome when he was younger. I recall watching something with my grandmother, eons ago when I was a kid, & he was either the romantic lead or the romantic rival - & even as a kid, I was like "huh, that guy is quite good looking" & it was Leslie Nielsen... & Then the next thing I saw him in was "Airplane!" heh!

He really was! I think the first thing after the Naked Gun movies and Due South I saw him in was Forbidden Planet, and he was pure square-jawed lead material in that one.
