Hi! I was diagnosed with ADHD just last July--am 32--and started Adderall at the same time.

I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO LIFE WITHOUT IT. Seriously. What you said about having it your whole life and getting worse only recently--that was the same thing that happened to me. It was like this switch got thrown in my head and I couldn't turn it off.

And you feel guilty and stupid and wonder what's wrong with you and why you can't get your shit together.

Yes, that. EXACTLY THAT. I know just how that feels and it was the WORST. Before Adderall I would sit around and freak out about why I sucked so bad and how I was a failure. Now I can take deep breaths and focus and get my stuff done and it's not...such a big deal all the time.

I'm also on Wellbutrin. I find the combination works great. Learning about all the things ADHD impacts and new ways of thinking is the best--and thanks to the drugs, I can actually *do* this and implement changes for a much more mentally healthy lifestyle. I'm so glad this is working for you!! <3

If you ever need to chat about any of this stuff, feel free to email me! <3 I
