I'm so sorry, dear heart. That sucks, because I am always up for more DC x dS fic, and I'm always happy to read more of your writing. *pets you*
I doubt you'll lose the heat in the reconstruction - you're pretty good at bringing on the heat. It just sucks to start over.
And maybe you need to look into options that include autosave...
