I just want to know if it ends badly with someone getting killed or injured violently. Because if it does, then I probably won't watch it.
And how FUNNY is he with that fucking carving knife, dude?!?
Sadly it wasn't funny to me. Now, I'm not normally inclined to become emotionally invested in the guest part of an actor I really like on a show I've never watched before and would normally never watch at all.
But as I watched Hugh's D:NG eps, I became more emotionally invested because Hugh's psycho-abusive-professional-dad was a lot like my father and how he treated my brother in front of my sisters and I. (And sometimes how he treated us.)
It was frightening to see the carving knife scenes, no matter how campy it may have seemed to others. Unfortunately, a carving knife (during Sunday dinner, and while carving a roast, no lie) featured prominently in the last time my father abused my brother - in front of us - the day my brother left for good at age 17. Seeing Hugh doing that in D:NG just brought it all back for me. I'm not even sure I'll watch the next Hugh eps of D:NG. Because if it ends badly, then I don't think I want to see it. It's not really worth it to me.
Also the joy of Hugh's chest hair (http://pics.livejournal.com/jcjoeyfreak/gallery/0001p04f?page=5&.view=grid) peeking through his shirt (http://pics.livejournal.com/jcjoeyfreak/gallery/0001p04f?page=6&.view=grid) in the many screen caps by jcjoeyfreak (http://jcjoeyfreak.livejournal.com/) was almost entirely ruined for me by watching the actual episode.
I wish to hell Hugh would get cast as something other than killer, psycho, insane game show host... Like romantic lead, occasionally!? I mean, heck, Down To The Bone, casting people?! Hello! If Hugh Jackman can get parts like he did in Kate & Leopold and Someone Like You, why can't Hugh get parts like that in flicks like that? Sure, they may be ultimately forgettable chick flicks... But dammit, I want some non-psycho, non-murderer, non-rapist cute-Hugh romantic lead roles already. So I can hopefully see a lot more of his flesh and drool joyfully, and I don't have to keep drooling over bad-boy/psycho Hugh parts, no matter how handsome he looks in them.
And the new bald Hugh look? I miss the hair... and prefer him with it. Nice head, though. Symmetrical.
Ok, sorry... uh, that turned into an unintended mini-rant. So, uh, rant over, now... my apologies...
