Right? It is such a fucker of a diagnosis. The hospice care is... being done by us, she is not in a facility - she wants to die in her own home. We do have home care from 1-8pm daily though and because myself and my other (well) older sister have exhausted ALL our paid sick and vacation time the past 11 months of dealing with my sister C----' glioblastoma, a beloved 1st cousin of ours who really gets along with C---- cares for her 7am-1pm. I go in the evenings to see her and I'm working on the FMLA paperwork to have more time off from work, albeit unpaid. I wish my job just granted you your 2 weeks vacation & however many sick days (I forget) on January 1st, but they don't do it that way... it accrues based on the quantity of hours worked. Right now my balance is zero for both... Sigh.
